Yandy Laurens is a director and screenwriter at Cerita Films. His first feature film, Cemara’s Family (2018), was warmly received by 1.8 million Indonesian viewers. At the 2024 Indonesian Film Festival, the country's most prestigious film awards, his second feature film, Falling in Love Like in Movies (2023), won seven Citra Awards, including Best Pictures and Best Original Screenplay. His latest work, SORE: A Wife from the Future, was released in cinemas across Indonesia, and has since drawn more than three million viewers nationwide. The film has been selected by Indonesia to represent the country in the Oscars race for Best International Feature Film.
